Overview / Technical
Interval-based surgical documentation and reconstruction infrastructure.
Offline, interval-based documentation system for veterinary surgical procedures. Local processing, deterministic output, structured reports shortly after surgery ends.
Operating stance
Practical documentation, not speculative automation.
Every output is traceable to captured evidence. The system does not infer, reconstruct, or generate beyond what was recorded.
Extraction only
Outputs reflect captured evidence. Nothing is inferred beyond what was recorded.
Interval-bounded
Each 30-second interval is processed in isolation. Context does not bleed across intervals.
Uncertainty preserved
Fields that cannot be reliably extracted surface as "unclear" or "not recorded."
No autonomous action inference
Surgical actions are not inferred, reconstructed, or generated from incomplete data.
Microbatch architecture
Surgery processed as independent bounded intervals.
Each 30-second interval contains a synchronized audio context, synchronized visual context, and structured extraction targets. Intervals are isolated. Corruption does not propagate across them.
Survivability
Completed intervals are sealed immediately. A failure later in surgery does not affect them.
Recoverability
Incomplete intervals are flagged, not hidden. Captured evidence stays usable.
Deterministic processing
Every interval runs the same extraction steps in the same order. No variation between runs.
Long-duration stability
A 4-hour surgery runs as 480 independent intervals. Each one stands alone.
Recovery and survivability
Interruptions are contained at the interval level.
Each completed interval is sealed independently. If a failure occurs mid-surgery, only the active interval at that moment is affected. All prior sealed intervals remain intact and available for reconstruction.
Incomplete intervals surface as flagged records, detectable and documented, not silent gaps.
Hallucination prevention
Constrained extraction, not open-ended generation.
Every output field is predefined by a fixed schema. Models receive only the evidence from the current interval. There is no long-context drift across the full recording. Fields that cannot be reliably extracted are recorded as unclear or not recorded.
Missing procedural events are not inferred. Gaps are flagged explicitly. The system has no pathway for freeform generation at output.
Features
Built as a constrained multimodal documentation engine.
Offline-first processing
Local capture and report generation stay inside the clinic workflow. No cloud dependency.
Interval-based architecture
Surgery is processed as independent 30-second intervals. Each is bounded, recoverable, and independently verifiable.
Deterministic operation
Fixed schemas, ordered stages, and replayable artifacts. No open-ended generation at any stage.
Uncertainty preservation
Information that cannot be reliably extracted surfaces as "unclear" or "not recorded". Never fabricated.
